The Committee was pleased to confirm Joe as Captain

Joe's Captain's year got off to an explosive start, literally, as on his Captain's drive in (and unbeknown to any of the members but him) he substituted his usual golf ball with an exploding one. This quite nicely set the tone for the rest of his Captaincy. Well in Joe. Joe also holds the distinction of being the only player to get a hole in one on an MGS day out. Eight events were played with Chorlton-cum-Hardy, Frodsham, Chester and High Legh Park being new to the MGS.
